Twelve Glentress is a high quality apartment at the base of the Eildon Hills in Melrose in the Scottish Borders. It has been graded 3* by VisitScotland and only misses 4* because the second double bedroom is rather narrow. It is ideal for self-catering holidays, especially for those interested in golfing, walking, fishing and cycling and who wish to visit Edinburgh. In a newly refurbished Victorian building constructed from local stone, it has its own entrance and being single storey has no neighbours above. It is entirely peaceful and surrounded by landscaped gardens to which visitors have access, yet it is only 10 minutes' walk from Melrose town centre. It is available for week-long holidays as well as short breaks of 2, 3 or 4 nights.
Melrose is only 40 miles from Edinburgh, 70 miles from Newcastle and about 80 miles from Glasgow. It is therefore ideal for short breaks, either 2, 3 or 4 night stays.
